Educate
It's critical that we learn about the history of voting rights in our country. It's equally important for us to understand our rights and role regarding social justice. Our foreparents have fought long and hard for us to reap the benefits we have today, yet, it's still not enough. Every individual must have a voice. It's not too early to begin to learn about the power of the vote and it's not too late to join in the mission. We'll be posting lots of information about voting history as well as new information to help everyone make informed decisions on and after Elections Day on our social media accounts. If you have any questions, no question is a silly one - simple email us and we'll point you in the right direction. We don't endorse any particular party or person. We're simply here to help you gather all of the information you need to vote based on your personal and communal value system - that's it! :-)
Empower
Everyone has power when it comes to voting rights so let's break it down by age group:
Children: every decision made by adults todays actually impact every area of your life. You may not be able to vote just yet, but you can speak up and share information about the things that matter to you and your age group now. You can also share the things that you want to accomplish in the future that need to get rolling today. Be empowered by using your voice!
Youth: you are either eligible or will soon be eligible to vote. The first election that you're able to vote should not pass you by. Register as soon as you turn 18 years old and don't be discouraged by what others say about voting rights or even the security of your ballot. If you don't vote, it doesn't count. If you do, there's a 50-100% possibility that your vote counts. Vote!
Everyone else: you already know the deal...take your souls to the polls and BE A G.O.A.T. & VOTE!
Encourage
If you're too young to vote, you're not too young to encourage those who are able to. Remind your parents, teachers and family friends that your life and future depends on their vote.
Once you're eligible to vote and you're registered, you have to take the next steps and actually vote. Encourage others to register. Encourage them to vote. Get involved in voter registration drives. Post facts about voting and the elections on your social media accounts. You never know how much influence have.
